The brainchild of industry leaders Michael Terpin and David Johnston in 2013, BitAngels has grown from being the world’s first angel network for digital currency startups to the largest.

BitAngels is an open, thriving community of skilled blockchain professionals, companies, developers, and others, with local events in key cities to create growth and connectivity in the blockchain space and with online communication and collaboration.

BitAngels aims to accelerate blockchain adoption globally by connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and the community through exclusive networking events.

Founders are invited to pitch their projects to investors, and investors get an inside look at some of the most exciting up-and-coming blockchain ventures.

Atlanta Blockchain Center servers as the Atlanta Chapter of the BitAngels Network and incubates Web3 projects for an eventual pitch to the BitAngels network of investors at Immutable every year.

SELECTION PROCESS

Screening Stage

Submitted applications go through a pre-screening round of evaluation by independent judges, where the most prominent projects are selected to participate in the PitchStadium.

Final Stage

Upon receiving an invitation, the startup will receive detailed information concerning the presentation format. Top finalists will pitch their ideas to a panel of top-tier investors at a live event for the chance to win the equity-free $50,000 prize and additional prizes from sponsors. Each team will have up to 10 minutes to pitch and 10 minutes for Q&A with judges.

Analysis Of Feedback

Results are calculated and feedback is reviewed. Judges will provide feedback and scores of the finalists. Decisions made by the jury are final.

Results Announced

Besides, the prizes and benefits from sponsors the winners will receive extensive attention from investors, and potential business partners, as well as valuable media coverage.

ELIGIBLITY

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Immutable Founders + Approved Presenters

Founders who have joined the Immutable Founders incubation program at Atlanta Blockchain Center are automatically included in the BitAngels Atlanta Pitchfest at Immutable Conference ’23. Founders who have not gone through the Atlanta Blockchain Center Immutable Founders incubator are welcome to apply, but there are no guarantees that you will be accepted. Your application will be reviewed and a decision made accordingly as to whether or not you will be able to participate. 

  • Startups that have created an innovative technology-based product or service.
  • Received not more than $500,000 CAD in exchange for equity. Grants are fine.
  • Have a strong team of 5+ members.
  • Have the ability to join the event in person, so you can pitch live.
  • Target the global market and have great potential for scaling up
